Where the Creeks Meet by Lael Littke5/22/2023 ![]() ![]() ![]() Stine,Judith Bauer Stamper,Lael Littke,Christopher Pike. I ll cherish the conversation we had after the last page was read where we all agreed that we knew Joseph s mission was God- led and that he was a prophet. Davy Crockett and the Creek Indians (By:Justine Korman Fontes). As one parent stated: I read this book aloud at bedtime to my four little boys, ten to three. But the stories are arranged chronologically so that, as a whole, they present a full biography of Joseph Smith for the young reader. Each chapter of the book presents one incident from Joseph Smith s life and can be read as an individual story. Line drawings throughout help bring his story to life for them. ![]() Littke grew up in Mink Creek, Idaho and studied writing at Utah. This children’s chapter book, specifically created for children ages 8 12 to be able to read on their own, is also a great story to read with them at bedtime or anytime! Meticulously researched for accuracy s sake, this book will help young people gain a testimony of the mission of Joseph Smith. Lael Littke is an American author of young adult literature and around 75 short stories. ![]()

Although most of her 1961–63 Minit recordings were written and produced by Toussaint, only one of these, "Two Winters Long", made the national charts. As well as "It's Raining", Thomas recorded " Time Is on My Side" and "Ruler of My Heart." The name "Naomi Neville" was Toussaint's mother's name, which he used on many of his early compositions. This move paired her with Allen Toussaint, who both wrote and produced most of her work with Minit. Initially Thomas recorded for Ron Records but, in 1961, she left for Minit Records, feeling that her original label did not pay her due royalties. "It's Raining", alongside "Ruler of My Heart" and "I Done Got Over It", remain some of Thomas' best–known recordings. ![]() The song has emotional ties to Louisiana, having been written and sung by people born in that state, being released on a New Orleans–based record label and enduring in the Deep South as a regional classic. Brent hartinger books5/22/2023 ![]() These books are “new adult” (making Russel one of very few literary characters to “jump” genres in projects created by the same author). In 2013, I continued Russel’s story as he grew up, into his twenties, in a new, stand-alone series called Russel Middlebook: The Futon Years. I tried to give these books a lot of humor and heart. I subsequently wrote three more books about Russel, calling them The Russel Middlebrook Series. It was one of the first in a new wave of break-out LGBTQ young adult fiction, and it was adapted as a feature film in 2013. My first novel, GEOGRAPHY CLUB (2003), is the story of a gay teen named Russel Middlebrook. ![]() I’ve published fourteen novels, had nine screenplays optioned, and had two of my projects turned into feature films. ![]() I am Brent Hartinger, a novelist and screenwriter. ![]()

The boarded window5/22/2023 ![]() ![]() But I am one, as you shall see.,” the music shifts, declining in tone, and slowing – darkening, really. ![]() However, once Bozzone ends the preface, and intones, “I imagine there are few people living today who ever knew the secret of that window. Yet, behind it all is a pleasant, circular melody by Bozzone, reflecting the sunny possibilities of a young couple’s new cabin and freshly-cleared plot of land. The tale cannot properly be called a frame tale, given that it never quite returns to the original storyteller, but Bierce’s shifting use of perspective in the story’s opening minutes leaves the listener on the same uneasy footing as the protagonist, Murlock.īy the time we’re listening to the tale proper, the storyteller – voiced with impeccable aplomb by Mann – has told of Murlock’s ultimate fate, the fate of his cabin years later, and how the narrator came to know all that will soon be spoken. Trystan strong5/22/2023 ![]() One of the consistent details in all the retellings is that Ireland is at war with Cornwall and the marriage of Isolde to King Mark is a way of brokering peace. Making the Irish a brutal colonizing force is, however, a step too far. ![]() ![]() With a tale such as this, you can hardly blame a modern director for taking some liberties and fudging the details in service of the story. This whole opening being in the papyrus font would make Ryan Gosling lose his mind. Thankfully, an explanation that England is reeling from Rome abandoning them and the Irish have used this to their advantage narrows it down a bit. ![]() When Tristan & Isolde opens, it’s with an extremely unhelpful declaration of the time period for the story – The Dark Ages. ![]() |
